Rules and Conditions

WishWin and NSM Gurucool are 100% volunteer-driven organizations that design academic contests in order to ensure that students enjoy and benefit from the experience. The rules and conditions below are applicable for all contests and forums.

1. All registrations should be submitted online as per the registration guidelines provided. There will be no on-site registration. It is the responsibility of the parents to register their children based on the information provided.
2. Every contest has FAQs provided. It is recommended that parents read the FAQs and understand them before registering the students.
3. Once registered, there will no refunds if the participant fails to attend.
4. It is the responsibility of the contestant to be present at the location specified as per the schedule circulated prior to the competition.
5. The organizers retain the right to start the contest as per the schedule provided. There may occasionally be delays to contests based on logistics or to allow for all contestants to be checked-in.
6. Contestants are responsible to bring pencils and erasers. The exam/test packets will be provided by the organizers.
7. During Spellathon, a contestant can appeal and request for a review of the judge's decision before the start of the next round. Parents are not allowed to approach judges directly. Parents can submit a written appeal to a volunteer who will then refer the matter to the judges at the end of that round. In any appeal, the decision of the judges is final.
8. During Spellathon, parents cannot help students as they try to spell the words. In case any such occurrence happens, the parents will be asked to leave the room and the contestant will face disqualification.
9. The winner of a contest will be declared as the contest champion.
10. Except during the tests/exams where parents are not allowed, it is the responsibility of the parents to take care of their children and keep them under their care at all times. Parents are requested to wait outside the exam room and pick up their children as soon as he/she finishes the exam.
11. Parental interruption of any form during the competitions is not acceptable and based on the discretion of the organizers, the contestant may face disqualification.
12. The organizers retain the right to change the logistics, venues, dates, rules, regulations, fees and mode of conducting the contest at any time.
13. Any changes to the rules will be announced before the start of the competition; the judges always have the right to change rules on site without prior notice if the situation warrants. All decisions by the judges are final.
14. Photography, videography and any use of cameras is strictly prohibited during the contests by students, parents and observers.
15. Parents are not permitted to copy questions or answers during the contest.
16. The competitions are meant to promote academic excellence and recognize students for their talent and hard work. The organizers reserve the right to take photos and videos for use by the non-profit organization. The organizers may use and reuse the name of the student, photograph or video for non-profit purposes including use in print, on the internet, and other forms of media.
17. WishWin and NSM Gurucool conduct the contests and forums for the benefit of students. The organizations, the officers, and volunteers are not responsible for any human error and consequent hardship, in any form, caused to any person(s) or organization(s).
18. The organizers, NSM Gurucool, WishWin, officers, volunteers, and sponsors, will not be held responsible for any act, outcome, or consequence resulting from any aspect of any student's or parent's participation in any of our contests.
19. In case a contest does not take place on the designated date under circumstances beyond the control of the organization, the organizers will try to reschedule the contest to a later date.
20. The organizers reserve the right to change, modify or otherwise alter these rules and conditions at any time.
